Tabin is a bird-watchers paradise as the forest of Tabin attracts an amazingly rich diversity of birds, including rare and endemic species, due to the abundance of food plants here. The relatively low canopy with sufficient natural lights makes birding and photography a delightful experience. Tabin Wildlife Reserve was listed as an important Bird Area. Day 1
8.00am- Pick up from Lahad Datu Airport (1.5 hours)
9.30am- Arrival, Tabin Wildlife Resort and guide briefing, Video Presentation & Visit Trogon Hall (2 hours)
12.30pm- Lunch at Sunbird Cafe
2.30pm- Tea Break at Sunbird Cafe
3.00pm- Birding Trails (3 hours)
7.30pm-Dinner at Sunbird Cafe
8.15pm- Night Safari (1.5 hours)
Day 2
5.30am- Breakfast at Sunbird Cafe
6.00am- Birding at Mud Volcano Observation Tower (4 hours)
12.30pm- Lunch at Sunbird Cafe
2.30pm- Foot Soak (30 mins)
3.00pm- Tea Break at Sunbird Cafe
3.30pm- Birding Trails or Dusk Drive (3 hours)
7.30pm- Dinner at Sunbird Cafe
8.15pm- Night Walk [Bird Checklist] (1.5 hours)
